VIDEO// Moldovan police investigate alleged financing of participants in protest at Buiucani Court from Chisinau

The Police of Moldova have documented more actions targeting the alleged financing of participants in a protest organized nearby the Buiucani Court of the  capital today.

According to information provided by the authorities, following monitoring and operational intervention on the spot, three people were identified — two women aged 32 and 40 and a man aged 30 — who are believed to have received sums of money which they later distributed to other protesters.

The individuals involved were taken to the Police headquarters for questioning. A criminal investigation has been initiated in this case, and investigations are ongoing to establish all circumstances.

Police representatives emphasized that the institution observed the right to peaceful assembly, guaranteed by national law. At the same time, they reiterated that any deviation from the legal framework — including providing or accepting material benefits for attending protests — would be investigated and sanctioned in accordance with legal provisions.

The authorities urge citizens to exercise their rights legally and responsibly, thus contributing to maintaining public order.
