Moldovan parliament speaker meets European Commissioner for Enlargement in Brussels: 189 million euros for Moldova

Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has had a meeting with the European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos in Brussels, during which the disbursement of the second installment of the Growth Plan for Moldova, amounting to 189 million euros, was announced.

"These funds will be directed to concrete projects that will improve the daily lives of our citizens: greater energy security, better public services, investments in the healthcare system and in the development of our communities," said the parliament speaker.

During the meeting, the officials discussed the progress made by Moldova on the path of European integration, as well as reform priorities in key areas.

Also today, in Brussels, technical negotiations were opened for the last three clusters of chapters: "Competitiveness and inclusive growth", "Green agenda and connectivity" and "Resources, agriculture and cohesion".

"This is further proof that, as a country, we are honoring our commitments and moving in the right direction. The modernization we have seen in recent years across the country is the result of work done at home at all levels of administration, as well as of the strong partnership with the European Union, which continues to support Moldova in its transformation," emphasized Igor Grosu.
