Group of MPs pays study visit to NATO Headquarters
A group of MPs, members of the delegation of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly are paying a study visit to the Headquarters of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in Brussels.
The delegation brings together MPs from the relevant parliamentary committees – national security, defense and public order, European integration and foreign policy – representing several parliamentary factions.
The visit's agenda included discussions with representatives of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, focused on cooperation between the Alliance and the Republic of Moldova, regional security in the Black Sea area in the context of the war in Ukraine, hybrid threats and NATO’s approach to them, the Alliance’s political priorities after the 2025 Hague Summit, as well as strengthening resilience.
During the visit, the MPs held a meeting with the Head of the Mission of the Republic of Moldova to NATO, Viorel Cibotaru. The discussions addressed developments in the political dialogue and practical cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and NATO, opportunities to deepen the partnership, as well as the importance of parliamentary dialogue in strengthening regional security and stability.
The study visit to Brussels is taking place on March 16–17 this year.
