Drone detected in south-eastern Moldova district; Foreign Affairs Ministry says condemns incidents that endanger citizens’ security

The Foreign Affairs Ministry (MFA) has condemned the incident in the village of Tudora, south-eastern Stefan Voda district, where a drone with an explosive payload was detected near the state border.

According to the MAE, such incidents endanger the security of Moldova’s citizens.

“Moldova reaffirms the importance of respecting its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and the competent authorities are taking all necessary measures to neutralize the danger and maintain the safety of the population,” the institution said.

More fragments of the drone today morning were discovered in the village of Tudora, Stefan Voda district, approximately 500 meters from the border line. The aircraft was found by local residents. The detected drone is active and contains an explosive device. Intervention teams are to carry out a controlled detonation on site.
