
Moldovan PM has online meeting with Bulgarian counterpart
Chisinau, 6 December /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s progress in the European Integration process, as well as possibilities of boosting the bilateral dialogue at all levels today was discussed at an online meeting of Prime Minister Dorin Recean with Bulgarian PM Nikolai Denkov, the government’s communication has reported.
In discussions, the officials referred to opportunities on consolidation of the Moldovan-Bulgarian bilateral relation, through cooperation in the economic, energy and education sectors.
The Moldovan prime minister appreciated the Bulgarian side’s intention to implement development projects in the social and economic sector from the southern Taraclia district. Recean highlighted the constant support provided by the Sofia-based Diplomatic Institute to train civil servants from Moldova.
„The expertise of the European Union countries is quite important for Moldova’s authorities, who make a huge effort to speed up the process of the country’s accession to the EU family. We rely, in continuation, on the support of our partners for the opening of the negotiations on accession to EU,’’ PM Dorin Recean said.
Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov reiterated Bulgaria’s support for the opening of the negotiations on accession to the European Union of Moldova and appreciated the solid efforts in the carrying out of the reforms on the country’s modernization.
The today’s meeting is part of the joint efforts of President Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Dorin Recean and the Moldovan diplomacy head, Nicu Popescu, to discuss with high-level officials of all EU member states, in order to promote the importance of launching the negotiations on Moldova’s accession to the European Union.
