Spokesperson for Moldovan government urges citizens to participate in September 28 elections informed

The parliamentary elections due on September 28 represent a decisive moment for the country's future, just like the presidential rounds from the last autumn or the constitutional referendum. The spokesperson for the government, Daniel Voda, has made statements to this effect. He urged the citizens to participate in the next autumn parliamentary elections informed.

Daniel Voda said that the participation in voting was essential in a democracy.

‘’In a parliamentary country, the parliament is the institution that defines the political agenda. The more citizens go to vote, the stronger the legitimacy of the decisions made in the name of the entire society is,’’ said Daniel Voda.

According to him, in the last three and a half years, the government supported by the current parliamentary majority has delivered clear results. Thus, 700 km of roads and over 900 km of water and sewage networks have been constructed or rehabilitated. At the same time, the energy independence has been strengthened, and investments have been made in each locality in the country through the European Village project.

At the same time, the government managed to maintain peace and freedom and achieve the most advanced European integration way, Daniel Voda noted.

‘’These achievements were possible with the direct support of our international partners - the European Union, the United States, Norway, Japan, Canada, and others - who invested in the development of local communities. In contrast, the  Kremlin regime has spent at least 100 million euros on disinformation campaigns and destabilization attempts,’’ said the government's spokesperson.

Daniel Voda emphasized that the participation of each citizen in the vote, regardless of the language spoken or political options, was essential for strengthening democracy and continuing reforms.

‘’Participating in the election means that you will be represented! At these elections, there is only one round!' the official stressed.

Moldova citizens are expected to elect their lawmakers on September 28.
