Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has visited the Glodeni town, where he met mayors and local authorities’ representatives, in order to discuss ongoing projects and needs of the district’s community. Grosu emphasized that ‘’the care for local development stays a priority, and uniting efforts is essential to continue progress.’’.
The speaker noted that major investments had been made in the Glodeni district over the last four years.
‘’We have invested over 12 million lei in the modernization and equipping of the district hospital, built six kilometers of water supply and three kilometers of sewage networks, 25 kilometers of street lighting networks, installed two photovoltaic plants, modernized five kindergartens, five gymnasiums, a high school and constructed from scratch two playgrounds, three sports fields, a park, as well as a cultural house and public library. We have also invested in roads: G25 Cobani, G24 Camenca, G57 from Dusmani to Ciuciulea; the road from the exit of Camenca to Costesti, the road from Cobani and the road from the village of Dusmani are upcoming,’’ said Grosu.
Igor Grosu highlighted that these projects proved the commitment to the district's development and underscored that ‘’now, it is important to continue on the path we have embarked upon – towards the great European family.’’
The Glodeni district comprises 33 settlements, including one town – Glodeni town, which is the administrative center of the district. The district's population is approximately 54,000 people, most of whom live in rural areas.
