Moldovan president discussed with people of Bilicenii Vechi, Sangerei, about local development
Chisinau, August 16 /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu visited Bilicenii Vechi village, Sângerei, and discussed with residents about the projects carried out by the government for the development and modernization of the village, the presidential press service has reported.
In the locality, through the European Village Program, the sewage system is being built, and through the European Village Express the kindergarten will be equipped with solar panels. The community also managed to build 33 km of street lighting with funding from AIPA and development partners. Bilicenii Vechi is developing and at the same time, taking care of the environment: the residents have planted over 2.5 hectares of forest.
So far, 12 educational institutions have already been financed through the European Village Program for the installation of photovoltaic panels.
President Maia Sandu also visited one of the largest thermopane companies in Moldova, Plastal S.A., from Sângereii Noi, which has 100 employees and is the largest taxpayer in the district after income tax and VAT. Over the years, the window factory has benefited from several state programs that have allowed it to become competitive and grow, and now it also delivers thermal windows abroad. "We will continue to support Moldovan entrepreneurs so that they can open jobs at home, contribute to the development of the economy and become competitive on the European market", the head of state said.
