Chisinau, 17 November /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu on 16 November greeted the participants in the Relay Race Day Campaign. It is about nine pupils from various settlements of Moldova, who made a guided tour of the Presidency’s building and had a short discussion with the head of state.
According to the presidential press service, the young people learned about the history of the presidential institution and the duties of Moldova’s President, as well as about what being a public official means.
President Maia Sandu encouraged the pupils to be active, in order to turn to good account the opportunities offered by the school, as well as those they are to defend after the graduation. The head of state noted that the goal of the governmental team was for all young from Moldova to be able to enjoy qualitative education and a motivating job in the country.
On 14-20 November, more pupils from the 9-12 forms participate in the Relay Race Day Campaign, organized by the Terre des Hommes Foundation of Switzerland. They visit diverse public institutions, in order to learn about the specific features of various professions, so that they subsequently are able to easier decide on their own professional way.
