One-off child-birth allowance to increase to 10,068 lei in Moldova

Chisinau, 29 December /MOLDPRES/ - The one-off allowance provided at the birth of each child will increase by 609 lei and will amount to 10,068 lei. The cabinet today approved a draft to this end, at a proposal by the Labour and Social Protection Ministry, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.     

Financial means were provided for in the state budget law for 2022, to implement this draft. According to estimations, in the next year, about 36,245 families will benefit from the one-off child-birth allowance.    

The increase in the child-birth allowance is a priority of the action programme of the government, which is set to promote a comprehensive policy of backing the families with children.   

The draft will enter into force on 1 January 2022.
