Over 120 officials, staff trained on integrity standards and access to public interest information
On 18 - 20 August, over 120 representatives of public authorities took part in three training sessions - Standards of Integrity and Conduct, organized by the State Chancellery in the context of implementing the recommendations formulated under the fifth evaluation round of the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO).
The trainings aimed to strengthen knowledge of ethics standards, professional integrity and conduct, to develop a common understanding of the responsibilities related to the exercise of mandates, and to ensure their consistent application in professional activities.
The programme was organized over three days for different categories of participants. The 18 August session was attended by 24 participants – secretaries of state, director generals of central administrative authorities, as well as heads and deputy heads of the territorial offices of the State Chancellery. On 19 August, the training brought together 67 directors of administrative authorities subordinated to the ministries. The series concluded today, 20 August, with the participation of 30 staff members from the offices of public dignitaries within the State Chancellery and the ministries – chiefs of staff, advisers and assistants.
The three sessions were held online and were based on a practical approach, including case studies. The trainings were facilitated by trainers from the National Integrity Authority (ANI), the National Anticorruption Center (CNA) and the National Institute of Public Administration and Management (INAMP).
The activities are part of the package of measures to implement the recommendations from GRECO’s fifth evaluation round, approved by Government Order No. 87/2026.
In addition to the Standards of Integrity and Conduct course, the programme also includes two online courses available on the MLearn training platform. The Anticorruption and Integrity course, developed by the National Anticorruption Center, includes a final evaluation test and automatic issuance of a certificate.
At the same time, in the context of the measure on access to information of public interest, the Access to Information of Public Interest course has been digitalized and is also available on the MLearn platform, with a final evaluation test and automatically generated certificate. The training component delivered via the MLearn platform is managed by the National Institute of Public Administration and Management.
By combining interactive sessions with digital training tools, the programme contributes to strengthening a culture of integrity in public administration, to the uniform application of conduct standards, and to putting into practice the commitments undertaken in the GRECO evaluation process.
