Government State Secretary for Reintegration meets with delegation from Kingdom of Norway
On 11 August 2026, Government State Secretary for Reintegration Roman Roșca held a meeting with a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway and the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad), on a fact‑finding visit to Moldova.
The discussions focused on the problems faced by the population on the left bank of the Dniester and in Bender, including the activity of territorial subdivisions that provide public services to citizens and the situation regarding the operation of the ferry in Dubăsari district. Particular attention was paid to educational institutions in the Transnistrian region, especially Evrika Theoretical Lyceum in Rîbnița and Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Theoretical Lyceum in Grigoriopol, in the context of ensuring access to education in the Romanian language.
At the same time, the parties addressed developments in the eastern districts of the country, the human rights situation in the region, and the measures taken by the Moldovan authorities to promote coherent reintegration policies, protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of citizens, and reduce disparities between the two banks of the Dniester.
The State Secretary appreciated the constant contribution of the Kingdom of Norway to supporting the Republic of Moldova, including through humanitarian assistance projects, underlining the importance of continuing cooperation and identifying new support opportunities for residents on both banks of the Dniester.
