President met with high-ranking officials of Kingdom of Netherlands in The Hague
On the sidelines of the diplomatic conference dedicated to the adoption of the Convention on the Establishment of the International Claims Commission for Ukraine, held in The Hague, Kingdom of the Netherlands, President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu held meetings with Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Dick Schoof, President of the Senate Mei Li Vos and President of the House of Representatives Thom van Campen.
The discussions focused on deepening bilateral relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, political dialogue and cooperation in areas of common interest. Maia Sandu appreciated the consistent support offered by the Kingdom of the Netherlands for the European path of the Republic of Moldova, as well as for justice reform and cybersecurity.
A distinct topic of the meetings was peace and security, in the current regional context, as well as the efforts of the Republic of Moldova to strengthen its resilience and capability to face security challenges.
Additionally, during the visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Maia Sandu is set to have a discussion with international relations experts, hosted by Clingendael Institute in The Hague, focusing on Moldova's joining the European Union and the resilience lessons learned in the face of Russia's hybrid war.
