Acting Prime Minister at meeting with European Commissioner: We continue working to prove through concrete results that Moldova belongs in European family
The advancement of the accession process and the deepening of cooperation with the European Union were discussed during a meeting between Acting Prime Minister Eugeniu Osmochescu and European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Marta Kos.
During the meeting, the officials reaffirmed their joint commitment to advancing the Republic of Moldova’s accession process to the European Union, which remains the Government’s strategic objective. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the constant support provided by the European Commission to the Republic of Moldova in backing our country’s European path.
The discussions focused on the progress made in the negotiation process with the European Union. The officials addressed the priorities for the upcoming period, including the implementation of the agreed reforms, the fulfilment of the accession criteria, and leveraging the recommendations of the European Commission.
“We appreciate the firm support of the European Union for the transformation of the Republic of Moldova and for our European path. We are aware of the responsibility we bear and we continue working to prove, through concrete results, that the Republic of Moldova belongs in the European family,” said Acting Prime Minister Eugeniu Osmochescu.
The Acting Prime Minister assured that the Government is making constant efforts to achieve the assumed objectives, ensure transparency in the use of European funds, and increase the competitiveness of the national economy.
The officials also discussed the outcomes of the EU–Republic of Moldova Investment Conference, an event that represented an important signal of confidence in the country’s economic potential and contributed to mobilising significant investments in strategic areas such as energy, digital infrastructure, education, innovation and competitiveness.
