Moldovan deputy PM for reintegration has meeting with Foreign Affairs Minister of Norway

The Government of the Republic of Moldova

Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri has had a meeting with Foreign Affairs Minister of the Kingdom of Norway Espen Barth Eide.

The discussions focused on current developments in the Transnistrian region, as well as Chisinau’s efforts and priorities in promoting reintegration policies.

The deputy PM emphasized that Moldova’s authorities were consistently acting to protect the fundamental rights of citizens from the Transnistrian region, to ensure access to quality public services and to consolidate unified national spaces in all areas: social, economic, educational, etc.

The deputy prime minister highlighted the importance of the support provided by international partners, particularly in the joint implementation of activities beneficial for people on both banks of the Dniester, and reiterated his openness to developing mutually advantageous cooperation. In the context, the Moldovan officials expressed appreciation for the constant support provided by the Kingdom of Norway to Moldova, including for upholding the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
