100,000 votes for Cotroceni from Moldova
Over 100,000 citizens voted in the Republic of Moldova in the Romanian presidential elections by Sunday, May 18, at 11:40 AM. Government spokesperson Daniel Vodă said today that this "is more than a number. It is a statement of respect against hate. For Romania. For Moldova. For democracy. For the future".
"100,000 votes for Cotroceni from the Republic of Moldova. It is more than a number. It is a statement of respect against hate. For Romania. For Moldova. For democracy. For future. I love my nation and the people here. I wholeheartedly admire all of you who came out to vote. You came with grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children… or simply with a peaceful heart, determined to vote calmly, according to your own beliefs," said Daniel Vodă.
He added that Romania needs every vote today from those who know what honesty, love, responsibility and decency mean, adding that every vote signifies hope.
"Romania needs every vote today from those who know what honesty, love, responsibility and decency mean. Every voice that believes in freedom, not fear. In building, not hate. In the future, not the past. Your vote means hope. It means a 'yes' to Europe. A 'yes' to our shared values. A 'yes' said with heart, clear mind, and love for the country. Come on, Moldova! Come on, Romania! Together we choose a path that unites us," concluded Daniel Vodă.
