Cristina Gherasimov after new government's oath: Road to European Union is common and requires perseverance

European integration is the priority of the authorities. The road to the European Union is common and requires perseverance, and we will walk it together, from public institutions and civil society to people in villages and cities. Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov made the statement, after the new Munteanu Government took the oath before President Maia Sandu.

Gherasimov emphasized the responsibility of being part of the government team.

“It is an honor, but also a great responsibility to be part of Munteanu Government. I thank the prime minister for the trust!” said Gherasimov.

She reaffirmed her commitment and that of the European Integration Office to continue the country's major mission: joining the European Union.

“It's a road we are walking together, from public institutions and civil society to people in villages and cities who believe that Moldova can and will succeed in being part of the large European family,” the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.

Cristina Gherasimov mentioned the already visible results of national efforts and the support of European partners.

“The results of our work over the past years can be seen in the roads we travel, in the schools and hospitals we enter, in the public services we access more easily. We still have much work to do until the benefits of European integration are felt in every locality, in every family, in the daily lives of people.”

The new government has 14 ministries and five deputy prime ministers, two of whom are without a portfolio—for European Integration and Reintegration—and is expected to start immediately implementing its governance program.
