
Moldovan central electoral commission says 15 political parties fail to submit report on financial management for first half of 2024 year
Chisinau, 24 July /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 49 political formations had submitted the report on financial management for the first half of the 2024 year, in line with the legal provisions, through the information system, SSI Financial Control.
According to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), another 15 formations failed to fulfill their obligations of reporting in the term and conditions established. It is about: the Socialist Party of Moldova, Party of Working People, Social Democratic Party, New Historical Option Political Party, United Moldova Party, Conservative Party, Party of Regions from Moldova, Political Party Alternative Force and of Saving Moldova, Political Party Social Reform Movement, UNITY Political Party, FENIX MOLDOVA Party, AT HOME Party of National Unification, European Left Party, Party of Law and Justice and the Centrist Union of Moldova Political Party.
„The Commission initiated contravention suits against the person holding the responsible office or the legal entity of those 15 formations. They run the risk of being imposed sanctions in form of warning or fine worth from 120 to 400 contraventional units (from 6,000 to 20,000 lei),’’ CEC said.
Also, the Commission notified the Justice Ministry for the undertaking of actions, in order to limit the activity of the political parties which failed to submit the financial reports for the 2023 year and the first half of the 2024 year to CEC, i.e. for two consecutive periods. It is about the Party of Working People, Social Democratic Party, New Historical Option Political Party, United Moldova Party, Conservative Party, Party of Regions from Moldova, Social Reform Movement Political Party.
The deadline for submitting the reports on financial management for the first half of the 2024 year was 15 July, this year.
