Chisinau, 12 May /MOLDPRES/- In the election campaign for snap parliamentary elections of 11 July, political parties can use a maximum of 20,707,070 lei, and independent candidates for the position of MP can use a maximum of 108,950 lei.

Central Electoral Commission / CEC / set today the financial ceiling that political parties and independent candidates can use in the election campaign. In the case of independent candidates, the CEC members set the financial ceiling starting from the coefficient of 0.05 percent of the average salary per economy - 43.58 lei - which they multiplied by the maximum number of the support group of the independent candidate - 2500. Thus, the maximum amount that can be used by an independent candidate is 108,950 lei.

At the same time, it has established that the maximum financial ceiling that political parties can use is 20,707,070 lei. The CEC members set this figure given the coefficient from the state budget revenues for 2021.
