Moldovan foreign minister to discuss EU expansion and security with European officials in Luxembourg
Acting Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi will participate today in a meeting of foreign ministers on security and interregional connectivity, organized in Luxembourg, alongside the European Union Foreign Affairs Council meeting.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the participation follows an invitation from the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, the European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, and the European Commissioner for International Partnerships, Jozef Síkela.
The meeting is structured into two sessions: one dedicated to security, which will bring together countries from the Black Sea region and European Union member states, and another focused on connectivity, which will also involve Central Asian countries.
In the context of attending the event, Popșoi will meet with Marta Kos to discuss issues related to the European Union's foreign and security policy, in the context of Moldova's accession process to the European Union.
Additionally, Popșoi will have bilateral meetings with counterparts from EU member states, as well as with partners outside the European Union.
