Online lessons, in-person attendance or later make-up classes: how schools of Moldova operate nationwide on January 28
Educational institutions across Moldova today chose different ways to organize the educational process, amid unfriendly weather conditions.
Thus, 530 educational institutions held lessons online, while 28 institutions carried out activities in a mixed format, with both in-person and online attendance. Another 48 schools will make up the classes at a later date.
At the same time, 404 educational institutions conducted teaching activities with physical presence. The same option was chosen by another 161 schools, which ruled to start lessons at 9:00.
The education departments and educational institutions will assess the situation daily and make decisions aimed at ensuring and protecting the safety of children, teaching staff and schools’ personnel.
The Education and Research Ministry has recommended that educational institutions conduct their teaching activities online, because of the difficult weather conditions. At the same time, for those institutions where it is possible to organize the educational process in person, it is recommended that classes start at 9:00, in order to reduce the risks associated with travel in difficult traffic conditions.
