Moldovan MPs to meet for final plenary meetings of spring session on July 29, 30; agenda includes 15 EU‑labelled draft laws

MPs on July 28 and 30 will convene for the final plenary meetings of the spring session. The agenda, approved by the parliament’s standing bureau today, includes more priority draft laws, among which 15 normative acts aimed at harmonizing the national legislation with European Union standards.

At the plenary meeting on July 28, the MPs will examine, among other items, the draft law on modernizing the human resources’ management system in the central public administration, the draft law on public participation in the decision-making process, as well as the Restart in Education reform. The agenda also includes draft laws related to Moldova’s accession to international legal instruments, the ratification of various agreements and conventions and amendments to the legal framework in the fields of road infrastructure, culture and protection of game resources.

The agenda of the plenary sitting on July 30 includes more draft laws in the second reading, among them the draft laws on the type-approval and market surveillance of road vehicles, the protection of personal data processed for the purpose of preventing and combating crimes, the administration and use of public roads, the prudential supervision of investment firms and the development of cross-border energy infrastructure.

The lawmakers will also examine draft laws on strengthening integrity mechanisms, mechanisms for protecting victims of human trafficking, as well as optimizing procedural enforcement mechanisms and preventing the evasion of sentence execution.

The plenary meetings will start at 10:00.
