Parliament took note of Alexandr Esaulenco's resignation request

Chisinau, June 2 / MOLDPRES /- In today's plenary sitting, Parliament approved Alexandr Esaulenco's resignation as Director of the Intelligence and Security Service. The draft decision was voted by 52 deputies.

Alexandr Esaulenco submitted his resignation request on May 30, motivating him to change his job.

According to the Law on Intelligence and Security Service of the Republic of Moldova, the director of the Service is appointed by the Parliament, at the proposal of the President of the Republic of Moldova, for a term of 5 years.
