Prime Minister invited citizens to attend events on Europe Day

Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu today invited all citizens to participate in the events dedicated to Europe Day, organized on May 9 in the Great National Assembly Square (PMAN).

He emphasized that members of the Cabinet of Ministers will be in PMAN on Saturday to talk with citizens and explain the benefits of the European integration process.

"On May 9, we are marking Europe Day right here, in front of us, in the Great National Assembly Square. Let us all be there, and not just symbolically, but very actively. We will have ministry teams on the ground, in direct dialogue with people, to explain what we do, how we do it, what we are changing, and why the things we do matter, including at the level of local public administration. I want us to explain what Europe is for us, what challenges we face, and how we can strengthen ourselves along our European path. I believe it is indeed important to come together around an idea, a European platform. And it must be a conscious, responsible choice, because any initiative, any project also entails certain responsibilities. And I believe we are doing quite a lot; we just need to communicate it to people, and this will be a great opportunity to do so. And, of course, in the evening we are expecting everyone at the concert in the Great National Assembly Square. It is a good time, as we are a present, active, open and responsible government. Thank you. And now let us move on to the agenda."

The Republic of Moldova is preparing to celebrate Europe Day through a large-scale event dedicated to unity and shared values. On May 9, starting at 13:00, the Great National Assembly Square will host the European Village, a vibrant space where citizens are invited to discover the continent’s diversity along the Team Europe Alley.
