Moldova to conclude air services agreement with Bosnia & Herzegovina
Moldova and Bosnia & Herzegovina will conclude an Agreement in the field of air services. The Government approved the decision to initiate negotiations today.
The Agreement will establish a clear framework for the operation of air routes between the two states, including rules on civil aviation safety and security, applicable fares, the designation of operators and the conditions for flights’ operations.
“For citizens, the conclusion of this Agreement means more direct air connections from Chisinau; for the economy, it means increased passenger traffic, more tourism, commercial opportunities and a more competitive aviation market. At the same time, the agreement will help strengthen bilateral relations and improve the investment climate. The implementation of the document does not involve budgetary costs and does not require institutional changes,” said Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea at the government meeting.
In addition, the initiative will contribute to enhancing passenger traffic, stimulating tourism, developing trade exchanges and strengthening bilateral economic relations.
