Pupils, students to be able to vote in settlements where they study at parliamentary elections due in Moldova

Pupils and students will be able to vote in the localities where they study at the parliamentary elections. To vote, they will have to present their identity card and student or pupil card.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the head of the Communication, Public Relations and Mass Media Directorate of the Central Electoral Commission, Rodica Sîrbu, said that young voters can exercise their right to vote at any polling station in the locality where they study.

"An exception is made for pupils and students who have a domicile or temporary residence in the locality where they study. They will be able to vote according to their domicile or temporary residence," noted Rodica Sîrbu.

About 38,200 young people will be able to vote for the first time in the next parliamentary elections.

The parliamentary elections will take place on September 28, this year. Citizens are expected at the polls to elect the MPs for the future legislature.
