VIDEO // Morning raids in southern Moldova
This morning, law enforcement bodies conducted 60 raids in the south of the country. The actions are part of a criminal case initiated for electoral corruption, illegal financing of political parties, and money laundering.
According to the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), the raids are currently ongoing.
“Officers of the National Investigation Inspectorate, together with prosecutors from PCCOCS and special task force officers from Fulger brigade conducted 60 raids in the south of the country in the context of a criminal case initiated for electoral corruption, illegal financing of political parties, initiative groups, and electoral competitors, committed on a large scale. The actions also target money laundering carried out by an organized criminal group, in particularly large amounts,” announced IGP.
The police will provide more details as soon as possible.
