Several thousands of soldiers to participate in Moldova's Independence Day parade
Chisinau, July 18 /MOLDPRES/ – The first training of military units, that will participate in the military parade to mark the 25th anniversary of proclamation of Moldova's Independence, started in Chisinau today.
A press officer at the Defence Ministry, Ala Diaconu, has said that more than 2,000 soldiers from the Defence Ministry and Interior Ministry, Security and Intelligence Service, State Protection and Guard Service, as well as formations made up of veterans of the 1992 Transnistria War would march at the parade, due on the Great National Assembly Square (PMAN) on 27 August 2016.
The National Army parade on 27 august will present 29 units of military equipment.
The Defence Ministry sent invitations to participate at the national military contingent parade to more than 10 partner countries, including Germany, Romania, the USA, Poland, Ukraine.
The last military parade was organized in Chisinau in 2011, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Moldova's Independence.
