MEP Siegfried Mureșan declared in the plenary session of the European Parliament that the European Union will support the Republic of Moldova in modernizing its infrastructure and strengthening its energy independence.
“We will help make schools in the Republic of Moldova more modern, hospitals more modern, and roads better. And we will help the Republic of Moldova connect, including energetically, with free, democratic countries of the European Union, so that the Russian Federation can never again blackmail and threaten the Republic of Moldova as it has done in the past,” stated Mureșan.
The statements were made during the plenary session of the European Parliament, where support provided to EU candidate countries was discussed.
