Border police set over 320 contraventions on violation of rules for using vignette
Chisinau, 18 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- The border police established more than 320 contraventions regarding the violation of the rules for using the vignette and imposed fines in the amount of more than 700 thousand lei (about 35 thousand euros).
According to the Border Police, the fines were established within the first phase of the RADIUS operation, carried out at border crossing points, in the border area and on public roads in the country.
At the same time, as part of the action, 150 contraventions regarding the violation of road traffic rules were established and fines in the amount of 96,950 lei were imposed. Five cases of using forged documents were identified - four driver's licenses and one car registration certificate.
The purpose of the operation is to identify and document the drivers of means of transport registered in other states, who have admitted exemptions from the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation on the territory of the Republic of Moldova. The action sought to detect and document drivers who did not pay the vignette.
