Bulgarian Prime Minister announces educational exchange program for Taraclia students: 300–400 children to visit Bulgaria annually
Prime Minister of Bulgaria Rossen Jeliazkov announced on Friday during an official visit to Taraclia the launch of an educational exchange program dedicated to students in the region. Starting next year, between 300 and 400 children from Taraclia will annually visit Bulgaria to learn about their roots, history and culture.
“We will initiate a comprehensive educational exchange program through which hundreds of Bulgarian children from the Republic of Moldova can visit Bulgaria. It's important for these young people to discover their roots, understand our shared history, and feel part of a vibrant and profound culture,” the Bulgarian Prime Minister said.
The initiative will be conducted in collaboration with Moldovan authorities and will include thematic visits, cultural workshops, Bulgarian language courses, and meetings with young people from Bulgaria. The program will contribute to strengthening the cultural identity of the Bulgarian community in Taraclia and will create bridges between the young generations from the two countries.
The announcement was made in the context of the joint visit to Taraclia by the Prime Ministers of the Republic of Moldova and Bulgaria, on the occasion of inaugurating the Ruse University branch—the first Bulgarian higher education institution opened outside Bulgaria's borders.
