CNAM announces increase in health insurance policy revenues
Over 144,000 people paid health insurance policy in the first quarter of the year, contributing to the accumulation of about 290 million lei in insurance funds. This is an increase of 68 million lei compared to the same period last year.
According to the National Health Insurance Company /CNAM/, about 85,000 people who purchased the policy are individual entrepreneurs, patent holders, lessees and unemployed citizens who paid 2,527 lei.
Another 53,000 are agricultural land owners who paid a reduced policy of 1,264 lei. About 4,800 self-employed traders paid 1,895 lei for the policy. Over 1,600 people paid the maximum amount of 5,054 lei.
The number of insured agricultural land owners has decreased due to legislative changes that stipulate pensioners and those who have been abroad for over six months are no longer required to pay the policy.
According to CNAM, the number of lawyers, notaries, bailiffs and individual entrepreneurs who have purchased policies has increased this year.
