High-level Conference on Social Rights – European Social Charter to be held on Thursday in Chișinău, bringing together over 50 official delegations
The high-level Conference on Social Rights – European Social Charter will be held tomorrow in Chișinău. During the event, the Social Security Agreement with Ukraine will be signed, as well as the Support Agreement for the implementation of the RESTART reform with the Czech Republic.
The event will begin with a press conference held by the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Alain Berset, and the Minister of Labour and Social Protection, Natalia Plugaru. Afterwards, during the opening of the meeting, President Maia Sandu will deliver a speech.
The conference will bring together ministers and high-ranking officials responsible for social rights and social policies from Council of Europe member states, as well as representatives of European and international institutions, civil society, and the academic community.
Discussions will address the role of social rights in strengthening democracy and stability in Europe, as well as current challenges related to the future of work, technological developments, demographic changes, and the impact of global crises.
The high-level Conference on Social Rights – European Social Charter is being organized for the first time in the Republic of Moldova. The event will bring together over 50 official delegations.
