Incidence rate of COVID-19 decreases twice in Moldova
Chisinau, 29 December /MOLDPRES/ - The epidemiological situation in the Chisinau municipality remains serious, even if a decrease in the number of sick people has been recorded in the last ten days.
At a meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC), the head of the city hall’s Social Assistance and Health General Department, Boris Galca, said that the ‘’epidemiological situation is serious in Chisinau, even if a diminution in the number of sick people has been recorded in the last ten days.’’
The official noted that there were no free places in the Intensive Therapy sections from the Chisinau municipal hospitals and that this showed the degree of seriousness of the COVID-19 cases. At the same time, Galca said that the incidence rate of coronavirus per 100,000 residents was twice lower. ‘’The drop in the coronavirus incidence is connected both with the observance of the public health rules, decrease in citizens’ mobility and starting of the online education,’’ Galca said.
