Offices in charge of issuance of identity papers from Chisinau, Balti to work on election day

Chisinau, 18 May /MOLDPRES/ - The 20 May day has been declared working day for the employees of the subdivisions in charge of the issuing identity papers in the Balti and Chisinau municipalities The employees of the Public Services Agency (ASP) will issue certificates, usual and provisional identity cards in the time interval 7:00-21:00.  

According to data by the Agency, the citizens will be served according to the territorial principle, at the services for the issuance of identity papers in the radius of which the applicant has his/her residence. Moldova’s citizens with right to vote, registered in the Buiucani district of Chisinau, will be served at the service for the issuance of identity papers from the multifunctional centre Chisinau 1, placed on the Mihai Viteazu Street, which presently works in testing regime.

The temporary identity card will be issued free of charge, at request, to Moldova’s citizens with right to vote, registered in the Chisinau and Balti municipalities. The applicants will not present civil status documents, if the information ion personal data and their changes are contained in the state register of the population.

The citizens with residence in the Chisinau and Balti municipalities have submitted applications for the issuing of the identity card in the period of 20 April 2018 – 17 May 2018 inclusively, can raise the identity paper, no matter the term of providing the service demanded and the tariff paid.

On 20 May, new elections of mayors will be held in seven settlements: Chisinau and Balti municipalities, Leuseni and Nemteni villages, Hancesti district, Volovita village, Soroca district, Jora de Mijloc village, Orhei district and Parlita village, Ungheni district.   

Twelve candidates have been registered in the electoral race for the Chisinau mayor office, one of whom has been recently excluded.
