PHOTO // All national routes passable
All national routes are passable. Icy roads are in the northern and central parts of the country.
According to the National Road Administration (AND), over the last 12 hours, in the northern, central and southern regions, road workers have continued patrolling and intervention works to prevent and combat slipperiness.
Thus, during the night, workers intervened in Briceni, Dondușeni, Ocnița, Soroca, Florești, Rezina, Chișinău, Criuleni, Nisporeni, Basarabeasca, on routes M1, M2, M3, M5, R1, R2, R3, R7, R8, R8.1, R11, R13 and R14.
During the works, over 299 tons of anti-skid material were spread, with 45 special vehicles and 20 road workers involved.
At the same time, in the last 12 hours, AND’s Operational Service received and handled three calls from citizens.
Road workers remain deployed in the field, maintain continuous monitoring of the road network condition and act preventively or promptly, depending on the evolution of weather conditions.
The AND Operational Service is available around the clock for information and intervention requests: (+373) 78 337 744 or (+373) 60 477 117.
The Yellow Code for black ice remains in force until February 9, 20:00, and weather conditions may affect road traffic. Thus, during the night and in the early morning hours, driving conditions may become difficult. In this context, drivers are urged to exercise increased caution, adjust their speed to traffic conditions and follow the instructions of the authorities.
