Prime Minister’s message of support before Eurovision
“Viva, Moldova!” is a state of mind and an invitation to believe in ourselves. This evening, the entire Republic of Moldova sings together with Satoshi at Eurovision. The message was delivered by Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, who wished the performer great success at the European music contest.
The official called for unity among Moldovans everywhere and urged them to support the Republic of Moldova this evening.
“Through talent, energy and authenticity, a young artist is taking the name of the Republic of Moldova to the Eurovision stage and before millions of people around the world. ‘Viva, Moldova!’ is a state of mind and an invitation to believe in ourselves. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for you, Vlad!”, said Alexandru Munteanu.
The Republic of Moldova returns this evening to the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 stage, where artist Satoshi will perform in the first semifinal of the competition with the song “Viva, Moldova!”. The performer will open the show at Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, being the first contestant to go on stage in this year’s competition.
The song “Viva, Moldova!” was selected during the 2026 National Final organized by TRM, where the artist won both the public vote and the jury’s appreciation.
The second semifinal is scheduled for 14 May, while the grand final will take place on 16 May in the Austrian capital.
