The parliament is hosting a painting exhibition dedicated to spring. The works have been created by students of the Valeriu Poleakov School of Arts of Chisinau and visual artist Mihai Donos.
The exhibition, titled Spring in the Homeland, brings together 35 paintings and drawings made in various artistic techniques – watercolor, gouache, pencil and mixed media – which reflect the sensitivity and vision of the new generation of visual artists. The works capture the beauty of nature through compositions full of color, emotion and authenticity: flowers, spring landscapes, grandparents’ yard, blossoming trees and more.
The event marks the rebirth of nature and encourages the self-assertion of young talents. In their works, the young artists express their love for beauty, nature, traditions and authentic cultural values. The works of teacher Mihai Donos, previously exhibited at Constantin Brancusi Exhibition Center, harmoniously complement the exhibition and highlight the role of mentorship in the artistic development of students.
“It is a wonderful opportunity to exhibit our works in Parliament and present them to the public, because the pupils’ success is also ours, the result of our joint work,” noted visual arts teacher Mihai Donos.
Present at the opening of the exhibition, students Victoria Negura and Nadejda Besleaga spoke about their passion for painting, which they consider a way of expressing emotions through color.
“I used warm colors, just like spring. The fact that our works can be admired by parliament visitors motivates us to work harder and to put our heart into every piece,” the pupils said.
The exhibition will be open till the end of March, offering the public the opportunity to discover the talent and sensitivity of the new generation of artists.
By organizing this event, the parliament reaffirms its commitment to supporting arts education, contributing to the promotion and recognition of young talents.
