Show at Moldova's parliament: 1,000 voices open parliamentary week with patriotic music recital

The parliamentary week started on September 13 evening with a large-scale cultural event, during which 1,000 children, young people and adults from all regions of Moldova united tradition, talent and patriotism on the same stage.

Young laureates of the national patriotic music festival and competition, I Sing to You, Homeland and Nation, and members of the National Youth Orchestra turned the parliament's square into a space of unity and love for the country.

The choirs, Divinitate, from Soroca, Doina Codrului from Lozova, Straseni and Cantabile from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM), as well as ethno-folklore ensembles from Drochia, Glodeni, Orhei, Nisporeni, Cahul, Leova, Hancesti, and also vocal ensembles and pop and folk singers from various districts of the country performed in front of the audience.

On September 13-20, the parliament of Moldova organizes a new edition of the Open Parliament Week. The event started on September 13 with the Gala of laureates of the patriotic music festival and competition, I Sing to You, Homeland and Nation, third edition.

Throughout the next week, pupils, lyceum students and university students will participate in interactive activities, such as "The Hour of Democracy" – dialogues with MPs, educational games and quizzes, and also in the "Legislative Theater," an activity aimed at explaining the role of the parliament through dramatic art. In the territory, in Comrat, information sessions will be held, focusing on the involvement of young people in public life and the decision-making process.

At the same time, visitors to the parliament will be able to leave messages for lawmakers through an "ideas box," with the most inspiring ones to be published on official pages. Also, within the Dictionary of Democracy program, fundamental concepts for democratic culture will be explained in accessible language.

The week will conclude on September 20 with the conference, Youth Decide the Future of Moldova, during which young people, MPs and experts will discuss the role of the new generation in strengthening democracy and the country's European path.
