Moldovan parliament speaker invites Moldovan citizens from abroad to Diaspora Congress
Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has extended a welcome message to Moldovan citizens residing abroad, inviting them to participate in the Diaspora Congress, which will take place in Chisinau on August 15.
“On August 15, we await all of you at the Diaspora Congress. A wonderful occasion to meet, discuss and exchange words and advice. Therefore, we look forward to seeing you at the Congress and beyond. If you're here in August, we’ll meet in villages, at celebrations, on any occasion. Welcome home, dear Diaspora!” said Igor Grosu.
The event, organized by the Diaspora Relations Bureau, will be held at the Palace of the Republic and marks the 11th edition of the most important forum dedicated to Moldovan citizens abroad. Each year, the Congress brings together Moldovans from around the world, in order to share ideas, discuss the future of Moldova and identify ways of active involvement in the country's development.
This year's edition will include panels and topic-related sessions on such topics as European integration, civic activism, combating disinformation, young people in the Diaspora as leaders of the next generation, involvement in local development, and promoting national culture abroad.
Participation in the event is free, and access is based on preliminary registration, which can be completed online until July 31, 2025.
