
Travel advisory for France: general strike, public demonstrations announced in Paris, other cities
The Embassy of Moldova in France has informed Moldovan citizens who are in, transiting through, or planning to travel to France that a general strike and public demonstrations are announced in Paris and other cities on September 18, 2025.
In the context, the following sectors will be affected: transportation: urban and interurban, in the Paris region, railways (CGT-Cheminot, Unsa Ferroviaire, CFDT Cheminots) and airlines (CGT Air France); education: FSU-SNUipp and SNES-FSU; public services: CGT, CFDT, FO; health: pharmacists' union and FFMKR.
To avoid inconveniences, citizens are advised to check the departure or destination airport websites and verify train schedules via the SNCF Connect app.
Information about public transport in the Paris region and alternative routes can be consulted via the Bonjour RATP app or the official RATP website: https://www.ratp.fr/infos-trafic.
