VIDEO // Investments worth 75 million lei at Center of Excellence in Energy and Electronics: workshops renovated, endowed at European standards

Students of the Center of Excellence in Energy and Electronics will benefit from improved study conditions after the workshops from the institution have been completely renovated and endowed at European standards. The spaces were modernized with an investment of 75 million lei on behalf of the European Union.

Attending the event was President Maia Sandu.

"Energy and electronics are quickly developing fields and now young people can study in a modern environment well-prepared to meet their needs, while teachers have tools that make their work more efficient," said Maia Sandu.

The head of state added that in total, in recent years, investments of about 400 million lei had been made in 11 institutions of excellence centers (colleges). "Thanks to these resources, we are training a generation of motivated and well-educated specialists here at home, who will develop Moldova," emphasized the president.

Secretary General of the Ministry of Education and Research Galina Rusu said that the new investments created the premises for training competitive specialists capable of actively contributing to the energy, technological and economic development of Moldova.

The renovation and modernization of the Center of Excellence in Energy and Electronics was initiated in 2018 with European financial support, with a total value of about 75 million lei. Thirty four million lei of this amount was allocated for the modernization of the Electronics department and 41 million lei - for renovating the central block and workshops of the Energy department.

Today, the institution also commissioned the second floor of Dormitory No. 3. Thus, students benefit from a safer and more comfortable living environment.
