Moldovan citizens to benefit from better conditions to find employment in European Union
Moldova’s citizens will benefit from improved conditions to find employment in the European Union, while Moldovan employers will be able to identify qualified labor more easily.
This will become possible with the implementation of the Regulation on the organization of activities nationally in the European Employment Services (EURES), approved by the government today.
EURES aims to facilitate the free movement of workers, by providing access to a wide range of job offers and support for integration into various European markets.
“The adoption of this Regulation brings us closer to European standards and provides new opportunities for our citizens. The EURES network will support both workers willing to work in the EU and employers seeking specialists from the European space,” said Minister of Labor and Social Protection Alexei Buzu.
Under this Regulation, the National Employment Agency (ANOFM) is designated as the National Coordination Office and will ensure cooperation with the European Commission and EU member states. ANOFM will facilitate the exchange of information about job vacancies, provide support to job seekers and assist employers in recruiting staff from the European area.
