Diaspora Relations Bureau launches winter edition of LONGING for Traditions Programme
The Diaspora Relations Bureau (BDR) announces the launch of the second edition of the LONGING for Traditions Programme, dedicated to Diaspora children and youth. The winter camp will take place from December 24 to 29, 2025, and will bring together 40 participants aged between 12 and 17 years.
The programme aims to bring young generations closer to the authentic values and traditions of Moldova, strengthening the connection to cultural roots and ensuring the transmission of national heritage from generation to generation.
During the camp, participants will discover winter customs and traditions through excursions, educational and interactive activities, conducted alongside folk craftsmen and cultural figures from the country.
Applications are open from September 15 to October 15, 2025, based on the 'first come, first served' principle. The participation form can be filled out online at: https://forms.gle/ogNLWsR4Z8bU8N78A.
Participation in the program is free, with all expenses covered by the state budget. Candidates bear only the costs of transportation to and from Moldova, as well as for medical insurance.
Youths who have not previously participated in other programmes organized by BRD will have priority in registration.
According to the organizers, LONGING for Traditions meets the growing interest of Diaspora communities in maintaining an emotional connection with their country of origin and in knowing national values.
