Preparations for Diaspora’s participation in the September 28, 2025 elections are in full swing. The Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) is ensuring logistics and the delivery of ballot papers to polling stations abroad, established in the context of the parliamentary elections.

A total of 864,300 ballot papers have been approved for the 297 polling stations abroad for the elections due on September 28, out of the total 301 polling stations, including for postal voting.

Mihai Mîțu, the Secretary General of the MAE, said that the ministry’s team was actively involved in the process of packaging, distributing and sending the ballot papers to polling stations established abroad.

According to the official, approximately 4,000 people, members of the electoral bureaus, made up of diplomatic and consular officials, volunteers from the Diaspora, will mobilize for the proper organization and conduct of the election on September 28.

The parliamentary elections will be held on September 28, this year. Twenty three  electoral contenders have been registered in the electoral race.
