Nicolae Testemițanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Republic of Moldova and Zaporizhzhia State Medical University, Ukraine, will boost the cooperation in medicine, public health, medical and pharmaceutical training and scientific research. Rector of USMF 'Nicolae Testemițanu' Emil Ceban and rector of the University of Zaporizhzhia Yuriy Kolesnyk signed a cooperation agreement.
Ceban appreciated the Ukrainian side's willingness to strengthen cooperation, emphasizing that this agreement will contribute to coordinating research, innovation and technology transfer activities and will serve as a good practice in implementing and developing joint projects, acquiring new professional competencies and practical skills in medicine. 'Expanding international collaboration relations is one of the objectives set in the University's strategic development plan for the next ten years,' the rector said.
'We appreciate the quality and diversified study programs you offer, the infrastructure you have developed, and the internationalization you are aiming for. The University Center for Simulation in Medical Training, with which the Zaporizhzhia Medical University has cooperated before, is one of the best-equipped centers we have visited, confirming that we can learn from each other,' Ukrainian counterpart Yuriy Kolesnyk said.
According to the agreement, the institutions commit to mutual support and interinstitutional cooperation in medical training, research, clinical activity, continuous education, exchange of best practices and didactic materials, academic mobility and participation in various scientific events. They intend to promote joint research actions and scientific projects with national, European or international funding and disseminate scientific results.
