
Weather to cool, rains expected on upcoming days in Moldova
Chisinau, 19 May /MOLDPRES/ – An insignificant cooling of weather and some rain showers have announced meteorologists for upcoming days.
According to the SHS’s information and media communication service, on night to Sunday, air temperature will reduce to 10ºC. During the day, on average, country will record thermal values of 19 – 23ºC.
The cooling of weather will be maintained in first half of the following week, but on Wednesday, 23 May, thermal peaks will return to about 30ºC.
Also, SHS forecasts for upcoming period the rains, mostly in north of the country, isolated with electric discharge.
In May there is a further increase in air temperature, with average values ranging +15ºC to north and +17ºC in south. The coldest for entire period of instrumental measurements in much of territory of the country was May 1980, when average monthly air temperature was +11.4°C (Briceni) – +13.4°C (Baltata). The warmest was May 2003, when average monthly air temperature oscillated in territory +19.8ºC (Briceni) – +21.1ºC (Dubasari).
The stable transition of daily average temperature of air by thermal value +15ºC, beginning of summer wind are signaled by average on 08 – 20 May.
