Young people of Moldova can get study scholarships in Hungary
Young people of Moldova will be able to participate in the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship programme provided by Hungary through the Tempus Public Foundation. The scholarship programme contributes to the training of qualified specialists for the current needs of the national economy.
This opportunity is outlined in a Memorandum of Understanding signed between Moldova’s Education and Research Ministry (MEC) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.
Under the Programme, the government of Hungary will offer 40 scholarships annually for citizens of Moldova, distributed across all three cycles of higher education (bachelor's, master's and doctoral studies).
The specializations young Moldovans can opt for are coordinated by both sides, allowing for the promotion of professional training in specializations necessary for the national economy, such as agriculture, engineering, exact sciences, information technologies, political sciences, etc.
Education and Research Minister Dan Perciun said that the Stipendium Hungaricum Programme represented a valuable opportunity for young people from Moldova to develop their academic and professional skills at prestigious higher education institutions of Hungary.
“Through this partnership, we are strengthening international cooperation in education and investing in creating a generation of specialists who will contribute to our country's sustainable development,” the minister noted.
The Memorandum also provides for the creation of a community of graduates of the Scholarship Programme (Alumni Programme), which will allow the formation of a community of graduates and the tracking of their professional paths.
The MEC has been cooperating with partners from Hungary in this scholarship programme since 2014.
