
Moldova wins four medals at European U22 Boxing Championships
Chisinau, Nov. 20 /MOLDPRES/- The national boxing team has won several medals at the European U22 Boxing Championships.
Boxer Vasile Cebotari became European champion. He achieved four victories in the 71 kg weight category with representatives from Portugal, Croatia, Serbia and Spain.
Two other representatives of our country, Mihai Porombac (48 kg) and Nicolai Burduja (+92 kg) won bronze medals.
Athlete from Tiraspol Daria Cozorez contested the final of the +81 kg category and became continental vice-champion.
About 300 boxers from 32 countries competed at the European Boxing Championships, held in Montenegro.
