Moldovan referee to officiate taekwondo matches at Tokyo Olympic Games

Chisinau, 15 June /MOLDPRES/ - The World Taekwondo Federation (World Taekwondo) has nominated Moldovan referee Stefan Raileanu to officiate the matches at the Tokyo Olympic Games.

Stefan Raileanu thus became the first Moldovan referee of taekwondo selected to act at an edition of the Olympic Games. He is also the only referee who will represent Moldova at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

The sportsman in 2019 won the title of the best referee at the World Taekwondo Championship, held in Manchester, the United Kingdom.

Stefan Raileanu is coach of taekwondo at the specialized sports schools from the Sofia village, northern Drochia district.
